Woman shot in Choctaw County

(CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla.) The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has been requested by the Choctaw County Sheriff to investigate a shooting that occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Thursday near Grant, Okla. The victim, Tiffany Fritz, contacted the Choctaw County Communications Center reporting that she had been shot in the chest by Tarzell Tucker of Grant, Okla. The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, Hugo Police Department and local EMS responded to the scene in the 2300 block of E. 2120. Responders found Fritz who had sustained a gunshot wound. She was mediflighted to a Texas Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sheriff’s deputies and Hugo police officers located Tucker at a residence on the property where the shooting took place. He was taken into custody and booked into the Choctaw County Jail on one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. The OSBI investigation is ongoing.
