Warm air coming through

(TULSA, Okla.) Much above normal temperatures will prevail for the next few days with varying amounts of cloud cover. South winds will increase on Monday, with high temperatures pushing 60 for most areas. A limited fire danger could develop across parts of northeast Oklahoma. A weak frontal boundary will drift into the area Tuesday, with a stronger front moving across the area Wednesday. Both of these fronts look to move through dry. The second front will stall just to our south by Thursday and then begin to lift north as a warm front. Moisture will increase enough by Wednesday night to yield a chance for a few light showers from southeast Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas, but the main rain chances will hold off until late Thursday into Friday as a stronger upper level storm system approaches the area. A few thunderstorms will be possible by late Thursday night and Friday, and if the true warm sector can push far enough north, strong storms may even be possible.
