Joint venture combines Tribal sovereignty and infrastructure solutions
(OKLAHOMA) Two Native-owned powerhouses specializing in infrastructure, engineering, environmental services, civil construction, and program and grant management are uniting as one.
Grey Snow Native Strategies unites Grey Snow Professional Services, a Tribal-owned SBA 8(a) firm and economic engine of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, and Native Strategies, a certified Native American-owned engineering firm.
Steven Hollabaugh (Cherokee), the CEO and President of Native Strategies, says they’re thrilled to join Grey Snow Native Strategies.
“We built Native Strategies to increase the standard of living and empower Native communities through smart, sustainable infrastructure,” said Hollabaugh. “By joining with Grey Snow, we can now offer a larger delivery team, accelerated procurement options, and greater capacity to serve complex projects.”
The new venture aims to ensure Indigenous voices have a seat at the table when it comes to complex infrastructure and environmental challenges while promoting tribal sovereignty.
“This joint venture is more than a business arrangement, it’s a powerful alignment of missions,” said Timothy Rhodd, Chairman of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. “As a Tribally Owned firm, Grey Snow is committed to sovereignty, resiliency, and economic development for Native Nations. Partnering with Native Strategies allows us to deepen that impact with expanded technical capacity and trusted relationships across Indian Country.”
As a Tribal-owned firm and SBA 8(a), GSNS will be able to secure contracts on accelerated timelines.
The combination of Grey Snow Professional Services and Native Strategies also brings a wide array of expertise.
Grey Snow Professional Services has delivered nationwide projects in historic preservation, aerospace and defense infrastructure, hydrogen energy systems, and large-scale facility operations and maintenance.
Native Strategies, founded in 2020, has expertise in civil and environmental engineering, roadway design, drainage and waterway systems, and Tribal liaison services.
Both Grey Snow Professional Services and Native Strategies contract with federal, private sector, and Tribal clients.
