Cold front moving into Tulsa area

(TULSA, Okla.) Luckily Sunday is the last day for excessive heat as cooler and drier air filters into the region behind a cold front over the next few days. Less humid weather expected for much of the upcoming work week as upper trough stalls over the eastern continental United States in response to strong blocking high over the western Atlantic. A secondary surge of drier air is expected on Tuesday with a surface ridge persisting through at least Thursday. For now, we stayed with a dry forecast for the remainder of the extended periods into next weekend. Monday Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind. Monday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 69. Calm wind. Tuesday Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Tuesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 66. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Thursday Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. Thursday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Friday Sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the morning.
