Tulsa Public Schools is teaming up with the Oklahoma Caring Van to provide free flu shots for children ages 2 to 18 years old on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Booker T. Washington High School (1514 E. Zion St.). The Oklahoma Caring Van Program delivers immunizations to protect children and adolescents from illnesses at no cost to their families. A parent or legal guardian must accompany all children in order to receive their flu shot, and parents must bring their child’s current shot record. Free flu shots for children will also be available on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at East Central High School (12150 E. 11th St.). The Oklahoma Carving Van staff will continue to follow COVID-19 health and safety guidelines for health screenings, personal protective equipment, and safe distancing. Parents and families are asked to follow City of Tulsa safety guidance around face masks and safe distancing. For more information visit www.oklahomacaringfoundation.org.
