(TULSA, Okla.) On Wednesday just before 11 a.m., officers were called out to 4900 E. I-244 (near Yale) for a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a woman in the driver's seat of a Honda Pilot stopped on the side of the road. The woman had a gunshot wound to her stomach.

The victim says she was driving through Tulsa to pick up a friend in Big Cabin. While driving on I-244, the victim says she heard a pop, then felt a pain in her stomach. She looked down and realized she was bleeding.

Officers found a hole in the door of the victim's car that is consistent with a bullet hole.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, she did not need surgery, and she has since been treated and released.

Currently, we do not have any witnesses or suspect information. Anyone with information is asked to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. You can remain anonymous when calling.
