Tulsa Uber driver shot in the face

(TULSA, Okla.) On Sunday just after midnight officers were assigned to a shooting at 41st and Sheridan in the parking lot of the Home Depot.  

Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim, a male in his 40's who was grazed by bullets on his left arm and the left side of his face.  

He is an Uber driver and was picking up clients at a motel at 41st and Memorial area.  He stated that the clients jumped in his vehicle and told him to drive.  As he started to leave multiple males jumped into the back seat and started to fight with the clients already in the vehicle.  

As he drove away he heard a shot and felt burning on the left side of his face.  The suspect had shot through the back driver side door and the bullet traveled through the vehicle and grazed the driver.  

The victim was treated and released at the scene. 

Shortly after the shooting a Mingo Valley Division officer saw a vehicle matching the description that we were given near 21st and Mingo.  The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with a possible suspect.  

The suspect, Joseph Almader, 18, was positively identified by the victim and arrested for 5 counts of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon. 

Almader is being held on $150,000.
