One killed after SUV crashes into tree

(TULSA, Okla.) UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as Phillip Seals, 37. On January 14, 2019 at about 10:30 p.m. officers were assigned to investigate a collision at 1100 N. Boston Avenue. Dispatch received several calls relating to the collision. Upon arrival, officers found a Chevy Trailblazer wrapped around a large tree at the corner of N. Boston Avenue and E. Latimer Street. One occupant was discovered dead inside the vehicle. Two other occupants were transported by EMSA to local hospitals for treatment of injuries. It appeared that the vehicle was traveling south on N. Boston Avenue, at a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control and struck a tree. SIU and GID Traffic Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation into the collision. The Medical Examiner responded and took jurisdiction of the deceased. Names of the injured and deceased are not being released pending notification of next of kin.
