(TULSA, Okla.) The hot and humid weather continues. It's still a very summer-time pattern, but fall will come eventually.
Unseasonably hot and humid weather will persist for much of the upcoming week as a ridge of high pressure remains over the area. Afternoon heat indices will range from 100 to 104 degrees in parts of eastern Oklahoma and west central Arkansas during this time.
Low thunderstorm chances return Thursday and continue into the weekend as the ridge of high pressure begins to shift eastward. Any thunderstorm development will mainly be confined to the afternoon hours in association with peak heating.
