Man arrested for enticing minors online

(ADAIR COUNTY, Okla.) The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has arrested 31-year-old Jakoma Sanders for multiple charges involving exploitation of a minor. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received several cybertips reporting Sanders posing as a teenage boy online and asking multiple juvenile girls across the country to send him sexually explicit photos of themselves. Because Sanders was living in Oklahoma, NCMEC forwarded the tips to the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. During the investigation, agents discovered one of the juvenile girls was also living in Oklahoma. Sanders was arrested at his residence in Westville, Okla., without incident. He was transported to the Adair County Jail where he is being held without bond on the following charges: Count 1 – Soliciting Sexual Conduct or Communication wit h Minor by Use of Technology Count 2 – Obscene Material – Procuring Count 3 – Solicit Minor for Indecent Exposure / Obscene Material Count 4 – Showing Indecent Material to Minor Count 5 – Child Sexual Exploitation Count 6 – Computer Fraud / Unlawful Use of Computer System Sanders was in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest and will face an additional charge of Possession of a Firearm after a Felony Conviction. Sanders was a registered sex offender after a 2015 conviction for Soliciting Sexual Conduct or Communication with Minor by Use of Technology. This investigation was conducted by Oklahoma ICAC Task Force members from the OSBI and Muskogee Police Department; the Cherokee Nation Marshals assisted during his arrest.
