Man arrested for beating, robbing elderly grandfather

(TULSA, Okla.) On Saturday at 10:00 p.m., patrol officers saw a stolen Honda at a motel in the area of 3300 S. 79th EA. The stolen Honda was linked to a crime that occurred in the early Friday morning. During the crime Jakob Swift violently beat, bound, and gagged his 88 year old grandfather. Swift then robbed the victim of his car, money and personal property.  Because of the extreme violence associated with the crime TPD Domestic Violence Detectives quickly completed the investigation and an arrest warrant was issued for Jakob Swift.  His charges include robbery, kidnapping, and domestic assault. Officers established surveillance on the Honda and saw the suspect leaving the motel in it.  Officers executed a traffic stop and felony take-down.  Swift surrendered and was arrested without injury. He was booked at DLM.
