(PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla.) On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., the Allen police department was involved in a pursuit within the city limits of Allen, Oklahoma, in Pontotoc County. The pursuit ended at a residence at 301 South 4th Street in Allen. The driver of the vehicle fled into the residence at this address, while threatening to shoot officers.
At 12:15 p.m., the Allen police chief requested the assistance of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Tactical Team. The Tac Team responded and made contact with the suspect identified as Shawn Michael Taylor, 33. A felony warrant of arrest for Taylor was obtained by the Allen Police Department for assault upon a police officer with a dangerous weapon, felony eluding, and terroristic threats to a police officer, which were all pursuant to the aforementioned pursuit.
