(NATIONAL) Rain will continue along the parts of the East Coast and the Gulf Coast, there are Air Quality Alerts over parts of the Northwest and Northern Rockies, along with Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings over parts of the Upper Midwest, an upper-level low over the Great Lakes will produce light rain over the region.


Furthermore, a front extending from just off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast, across the Southeast to the Gulf Coast States, will remain quasi-stationary through Tuesday. The boundary will aid in developing rain along most of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast through Sunday evening. Rain will continue along the southern Mid-Atlantic into the Southeast through Tuesday morning.


Moisture flowing off the western Gulf will stream moisture northward over parts of the Plains into the Upper Great Lakes. The moisture will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Plains through Monday evening. The moisture will move northward by Sunday afternoon, producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Southern Plains through Monday evening.


By Monday evening, the moisture will travel to the Upper Midwest, producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley and Upper Great Lakes. Meanwhile, upper-level energy moves over the Northwest from Sunday into Tuesday will produce rain over the Northwest extending into parts of the Northern Rockies through Tuesday. Due to an area of cold high pressure moving over parts of the Upper Midwest, cold temperatures will develop over the region, prompting Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings. Furthermore, smoke from wildfires has prompted Air Quality Alerts over parts of the Northwest and Northern Rockies.
