Man killed in Pontotoc County wreck

A Fittstown man is dead after a wreck west of Ada. It happened 14 miles west of Ada at 10:19 Wednesday morning. Troopers said Billy LaFever, 86, was killed after his truck rear-ended another truck. We’re told Jamie Yarbrough, 36, of Ada was turning left into a private drive when he was hit. Yarbrough and his passenger Jennifer Keeling, 41, also of Ada were both taken to a local hospital. LaFever was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said only Keeling was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation.
