(ROGERS COUNTY, Okla.) A young baby has died just short of his first birthday following a wreck in Rogers County last year.
We’re told the wreck happened on State Highway 66 at Sioux Avenue just north of Claremore on April 8, 2019.
According to reports, Ashley Griffith, 32, of Claremore was driving south when she turned left, failing to yield for another vehicle traveling north.
The passenger in the other vehicle, Rainee Middleton, 22, of Afton, was pregnant at the time.
Troopers said her child was born prematurely and subsequently died from injuries sustained in the collision on February 27.
Middleton said on social media they will be having a celebration of life for their child at First Baptist Church in Grove on April 5 at 2 pm.
“We will have a potluck and things for the kids to do,” Middleton said. “We want this to be a happy celebration of the wonderful amazing things our little man did; we want him to know how truly amazing he was.”
