$4.4 million road project to begin on South Boulder Avenue Monday

(TULSA, Okla.) A street rehabilitation project on South Boulder Avenue between West First Street and West 10th Street is scheduled to begin on February 4. The project also includes rehabilitation of West Sixth Street between South Denver Avenue and South Boulder Avenue.
Work will begin with waterline replacement on Boulder Avenue between Seventh and 10th Streets. Traffic will be limited to two northbound lanes during the project.
Later in the project, work also will include rehabilitation of Sixth Street between Denver and Boulder avenues.
The project includes street rehabilitation, waterline replacement, conversion of Boulder Avenue from one-way to two-way traffic, as well as adding bicycle lanes on the west side of Boulder Avenue and on both sides of Sixth Street.
The City of Tulsa has contracted with Becco Contractors Inc. for this $4,415,000 project, funded by the 2014 Third Penny Sales Tax (Improve Our Tulsa).
The project is scheduled for completion in February 2020.
