Sapulpa man killed in overnight fire

(SAPULPA, Okla.) Officials said one man is dead after an overnight fire in Sapulpa. Fire Chief David Taylor told VNN the fire started at 515 Hickory Hill Road just before 2 a.m. Thursday. The house was 70 percent involved by the time firefighters got there. We’re told four people were home at the time. Three people managed to get out but a man in an upstairs bedroom was not able to. The fire marshal said lots of smoking materials were present in the home which could have possibly started the blaze, but the official cause remains undetermined. The victim has not been identified. The house is a total loss.
