(TULSA, Okla.) The River Parks Authority and Mythic Press are joining forces to fund repair to Tulsa’s River trails after historic flooding. The destruction began on May 26 due to tornadoes, straight line winds and torrential rainfall. Organizers said all profits from the limited edition “Tulsa Flood 2019” tee shirts will go toward repairing the trail system. Shirts are $20. Mythic Press said orders will be collected and produced based on demand, and shirts will be shipped out or available for pickup late July. Orders can be placed here: https://shop.mythic.press/products/tulsa-flood-2019 Donations can also be made to the River Parks Foundation at www.riverparks.org/donate The splash pad at 41st St. is still closed due to flooding damage and officials said repairs will take some time. The fundraiser isn’t the only way the community has helped get the river trails back in order. River Parks held a volunteer cleanup June 1-10, focusing on debris and trash clean up. Mud, muck and silt deposits were shoveled out and thrown away. Volunteers also cleaned benches, tables, playground equipment, washed the trail and picked up trash.
