(TULSA, Okla.) Lynn Riggs Memorial Mural, located at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, was vandalized Monday night, just after 11 p.m. Oklahomans for Equality, an organization that calls the center home, said under Oklahoma law, this is not a hate crime. “Lynn Riggs, a celebrated, gay playwright, was not silenced during his lifetime and we will not be silenced during ours,” the organization posted on social media. “This is why we continue to fight and speak up against hate.” Video footage of the vandalism can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/135797456493841/posts/2860273664046193?s=100001673611366&v=e&sfns=mo Anyone with information is asked to call the center at (918)-743-4297 or e-mail the Tulsa Police Department LGBT Community Liaison Thomas Bell at tbell@cityoftulsa.org.
