Public Oversight Meeting for 1921 Graves Investigation this Thursday

(TULSA, Okla.) Mayor G. T. Bynum and the Mass Graves Investigation Public Oversight Committee will hold a public meeting Thursday, Sept. 26, 5:30 p.m. at Vernon AME Church, 311 N. Greenwood Ave. Mayor Bynum announced the City of Tulsa would reexamine the potential of mass graves at three sites in Tulsa and established three goals around the reexamination, including: public oversight, historical context and the physical evidence investigation.  The meeting Thursday will continue discussion from the last meeting, which focused on identifying key decision points during the physical investigation process to establish ground rules moving forward. There will also be updates on the historical context and physical investigation aspects of the process. The meeting will be streamed live on the City of Tulsa’s Facebook, City of Tulsa Gov.
